William “Bill” Harris is an attorney who serves as Senior Corporate Counsel in the Legal Division of a San Francisco Bay Area Fortune 50 grocery retailer. Previously, he was counsel the San Francisco office of Littler Mendelson, a national labor and employment law firm. He also was the Litigation Partner and senior trial attorney in the law firm of Arnelle, Hastie, McGee, Willis and Greene, which at the time was the largest minority-owned law firm in the U.S. with an emphasis on corporate and commercial law and complex business litigation. During his career, Mr. Harris has also worked diligently to provide legal services as a civil rights attorney representing indigent and under-represented casino clients in San Francisco’s Bayview-Hunter’s Point predominately African-American community, as a Deputy Public Defender in Oakland, California, and in Chicago as a staff attorney with the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, and also received his undergraduate degree in Political Science and History from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
